Project Detail
We started Overheard as an avenue to further develop our individual talents and skills as writer and designer ourselves. We wanted our magazine to serve as a platform for other authors and artists to see their work in print. Using the power of social media and word of mouth, we were able to receive a wide range of submissions for poetry, short fiction, essays, artwork, and photography that compliment the theme.
This project gave me the opportunity to try out new design styles and themes that I wanted to explore in an editorial format. Below are examples of each issue's theme development.
