Overview
At iFactory, a website design firm located in Boston, I worked on a variety of projects to rebrand websites for higher education institutions and medical organizations.

Role
interaction design co-op
As an interaction designer on the visual design team, I worked closely with other teammates and clients  to deliver a strategic design solution for each project. The design process entailed Art Direction, Design Strategy, Look and Feel, and Keyscreens.

San Diego State University
The client for this project was San Diego State University (SDSU). Through this redesign, the client wanted to develop a stronger visual identity that captures the breadth of their opportunities and warmth of their beautiful campus and region.

A couple of the Success Critieria was to:
- Position SDSU as an academically rigorous and friendly home for the next generation of compassionate, globally conscious leaders.
- Capture the openness of the Aztec Experience: education, play, connections

** this process shows the concept work throughout the process and is not the final design.

Art Direction

Using the Success Criteria, we presented moodboards that captured different directions we could take. I joined this project after the Art Direction phase. Based on the client’s feedback, I referenced these two moodboards to develop my design strategy, which focused on the well-rounded experience that SDSU offers. In order to convey this, I created a design that incorporated circular geometry and architectural photographs with unique perspectives and compositions.

reason for being
An SDSU education is not one dimensional; it is an education, cultural, and playful experience. In 360, we use abstract campus elements and unexpected perspectives to showcase the breadth of the student experience.

In the Look and Feel stage, we designed the full home page based off the design strategy and client feedback.

Edinboro University

For this project's Art Direction phase, I put together two moodboards for Edinboro University, which has one of the largest Fine/ Studio Arts program in Pennsylvania. The client wanted a clean, vibrant, and energetic site that conveys the intangible aspect of Edinboro's creative character.

We proceeded with the next stages of Design Strategy and Look and Feel based off of these two moodbards.
