Project Type 1:
Raising Awareness and Advocating for UX Design
An ongoing effort to promote UX awareness across the industry.

Intro to UX Design & Ways of Working Presentations
The importance of UX design is becoming more and more prevalent across various business industries. Yet, it is still a relatively new field for most non-designers. Previously coming from a more design-centric environment, I first-handedly experienced the gap between evolving UX design knowledge and the business consulting world.

As an avid proponent of design thinking methodology, I was able to take this gap to advocate for design processes. I initiated "Intro to UX Design" presentations and conducted "Ways of Working" working sessions for my project team members, which ranged from developers to data scientists to business consultants. These activities helped the team stay more aligned and efficient throughout the project. They also guided me to become a more strategic and understanding designer.

UX Design Process

Each client project is almost always in its own unique environment. We started the design process by assessing the project's status, such as the ask, project scope, timeline, and team relationships. We then defined appropriate design activities to set the team up for a successful and an effective outcome within the given timeline. Outlined are some key activities we have selected and completed for our current project.

Discover + Define
- Reviewed clear business goals with the team in order to identify MVP items.
- Conducted current state assessment for pre-exisiting research materials.
- Created user personas and journey maps.
- Developed information architecture and user flow.

Design + Deliver
- Created low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes with data visualizations for Tableau.
- Iterated based on user research findings and client feedback.
- Developed clickable figma prototypes.
- Worked closely with Tableau developers to address feasibility issues through a detailed QA process.
- Built a cohesive design system based on the design guidelines.
- Created annotated wireframes and interaction flow.
- Led UAT client calls and stepped up as a project manager during the entire UAT process.

Final Output:
Unique Healthcare Analytics Dashboards

The final output for this project was unique healthcare analytics dashboards for client business users. By transforming complex layers of information, our team designed an intuitive interface that provided meaningful market positioning insights, especially during the plan contract negotiation period.

For confidentiality reasons, I cannot share more detailed views of this final output, but I am more than happy to share more information upon request. Please feel free to reach out directly at [email protected].

Project Type 3:
Utilizing Visual Design Skills
Keeping up with information design and brand identity design experience.

Infographics + Brand Style Guides

Coming from a graphic design background, I've also had opportunities to utilize my visual design skills outside of my client projects. For confidentiality reasons, I cannot share the exact graphics for this work.

Here are some design projects I've worked on:
- Created a narrative and interactive infographics for a team's year-end report that was shared with the executive stakeholders and practitioners.
- Developed a new brand style guide and ~100 powerpoint deck templates for a healthcare workstream.
- Led the team of three volunteers to focus on a design strategy and defined project timeline and responsibilities.
- Conducted check-ins and presented to the Product Marketing Lead and Product Manager.
